@Sprite: I'm so sorry about the spotting It's definitely so scary but I'm glad your babe looks good. Also that is sad about the second implantation... I hope you took the news okay.

@Sprite: Sending you positive vibes!!! I'm glad things look like they will be ok! Spotting is a very scary thing to go through, even when you know things are ok. xo

@Sprite: oh my goodness...how scary:-(. I'm so glad you're being closely monitored. I had brown spotting/CM for a week post BFP, and I still scour TP every single time I go to the bathroom afraid that it's returned. Hang in there.

@MarieJ: yeah, this might be something I ebay to keep the worry at bay. If they aren't too pricey, why not?!
6 weeks 5/6 days today. Come on, little heartbeat!!!

Hey everyone, I have to share this app a mama on another due date board shared. It's called CineMama. I know it's available on iphone, not sure about android. It's an app by the march of dimes that allows you to take belly pics each week and at the end of your pregnancy, it makes a flipagram of all the photos.

@Sprite: how about we make this Friday Heartbeat day?! That's the day I hope to hear mine, too:-).

@ShayNanigans Yay for twins! FX for an easy-as-possible time. I know that some of my friends have found meetup groups for parents of multiples really helpful. Is there one near you?
@Sprite How very scary! I hope that things are okay on Friday!!!

Such a busy thread today! We can't decide if we're team green or not. How do you decide if you don't feel strongly one way or the other? Maybe we'll know more what we want to do as we get closer to the possibility of knowing.
@MarieJ: I downloaded that, but can't figure out how to sign in without facebook. I'm worried that signing in will automatically post that I'm using the app, and I don't want that on facebook.
@ShayNanigans: I already saw your news on the IVF thread, but more congrats here!
@Mrs.Panda: You sound so old to me! 9 weeks?! That seems like ages from now still! Still taking it easy? Any more worrisome symptoms?
@Sprite: Such mixed news! I hope your one sticky babe continues to be fine. You did IUI, right? Did you know earlier that two eggs may have fertilized? That must be challenging news to process.

@tororojo: I agree, waaay too many pills! And all this talk about progesterone is so interesting to me! My progesterone was 50 something at 4 1/2 weeks. I had no idea that 20 is normal! I've been on suppositories and injections since we did IVF, and my doc wants me to stay on them until I'm 12 weeks! I think I might ask at this weeks appointment if they'll check my levels again and/or explain why I still need to be on them.
I totally don't envy you the UTI, though! I hope your antibiotics do the trick quickly!
@MrsScottish: Did you get to the doctors this afternoon? Any answers or meds? Hope you're feeling better soon!

@thisisme: yes, thank you!! She did a check, swabed for yeast and sent me for a urine sample. She gave me a scrip for a topical cream as I was inflamed. It is helping!! She suspects it is yeast but wanted to double check for uti or bladder.

@thisisme: lol-I know what you mean about hearing that @Mrs.Panda is 9 weeks and feeling like she's so "grown up!" I am so amazed you're 9 weeks, Panda! 7 weeks tomorrow seems like it's getting "up" there from when I was like 4 w 5 days:-).
I also want to add that I sometimes forget which day of the week it is, but I clearly always know exactly how many weeks and days preggo I am:-). My second wish after a strong heartbeat on Friday is that doc can date the pregnancy pretty exactly.

@ShayNanigans: TWINS are so exciting, congratulations! I think DH and I were both kind of hoping for 2 heartbeats, but also a little relieved to have 1 w/DD so close in age. Very happy for you!
@Sprite: yikes on the scary spotting, but glad things seem to be going well! Except for the vanishing twin--is that what that means? Glad you have another appointment soon as well. And yeah, boo on being in the supplement club. I have taken them before though and they weren't too bad, just another pill to pop.
@thisisme: We mostly have gender neutral gear, but I want the option of buying some girly/masculine stuff before LO is born. Especially when it comes to hitting end of the season clothing sales! I think that's my main reason for not being team green, because the nursery will probably be pretty neutral. And wow, clearly your supplements are working! Thankfully I just have to take a pill each night for the next month. T

@thisisme: @ChiCalGoBee: Hahahaha I feel old in a lot of ways! When I first joined this thread my EDD was 10/30 so I felt like the ladies in the October thread were "old" but now here I am the old one! Especially since my EDD changed to 10/25. Hope you guys don't mind me sticking around just think of me as the older sister who can tell you what's up next. It's amazing it's only a 2 week difference though!
I have not had any spotting since Friday still cramping and on mostly bed rest so I'm going to try and be more active tomorrow to see if that does anything. Also preparing for my bff's wedding this weekend! Busy busy. Another appointment on Thursday to check everything out... He said to come in if I was still bleeding but I kind of want to be seen before I take the trip across the state for a couple of days. Crazy? Maybe!
nectarine / 2028 posts
Had a small amount of pink-tinged CM after a B.M. this morning (sorry if that's TMI). After two "wipes" it was gone, but of course I'm freaked out. My appointment is three days away so if that's all it was (FX), I'm planning on just mentioning it then? It's just so dang scary to have ANYTHING coming out of there right now, you know?
I understand why docs have you wait until 8 weeks or so for the first appointment, but I seriously wish they'd have you come in earlier to talk through "what's normal and what's not" in early pregnancy. This guessing game is really stressful!

I mentioned my less then 24 hours of mild spotting when I was at the doc yesterday for a yeast infection. She said that because it was mild, and only when I wiped she is not concerned. If it happens again then we can chat. I see her again on April 10th. So laughed at me and said that I am one of the calmest first time moms she has had in a while! I said maybe to you! Not in my head!

@MrsScottish: Thanks for sharing this. So glad yours stopped!
I've been back to the bathroom twice already to check, and so far nothing else. I know I'm going to be checking TP like a hawk between now and Friday. As if I didn't already want to insist on some kind of scan, I definitely will now!

Sorry for all of the ladies with scary spotting I'm still super nervous when I go to the restroom! I'm sure all is well with your little beans
@mtex14: Congrats again!! Feel free to pop over to the December board also, if you want!

@Mrs.Panda: Yes, I took the news ok. Still a little bummed, since nobody wants to hear that, but much better than to find out further along when I'd become emotionally invested in two. And so glad to hear your spotting has stopped for now!
@MarieJ: thanks, I'll have to check out if they have that app for Android!
@ChiCalGoBee: YES! Friday Heartbeat Day for sure But not you too with the spotting! I hope it says light between now and your appointment friday.
@thisisme: Yes, we did IUI. And after the 11 days I needed of relatively high doses of gonal-f I had 3 mature follies, so I knew it was a possibility for more than one. We would have been fine with it too, since I have DOR I may not get another pregnancy down the line. But it is what it is, and I'm just grateful for one!
@MrsScottish: hope the cream does its job and you feel better soon!
@tororojo: yes, it's the same thing as vanishing twin. I just prefer the less harsh way the on-call doc phrased it, since "collapsing implantation" is just easier to deal with in my mind. I am jealous that you get the pill form of progesterone though! That seems to be the least of all evils when it comes to progesterone--it's not a suppository!
@mtex14: Welcome! Happy to see another graduate of the 6+ months club over here!

@ShayNanigans: Two babies! I'm so excited for you!

I think my nausea might be starting up. Welcome to 6 weeks I guess! I felt mildly car sick on and off all day yesterday and today. And I gagged on the crust of my sandwich at lunch today because it was too dry? Weirdness. But I'm thankful it's still a mild feeling so far. It may have started earlier, but I can't be sure. When I had my first bleeding episode on Friday I felt very sick to my stomach, sweaty and lightheaded/blurred vision. But that may just be because I can't handle blood and tend to hyperventilate in those kinds of situations. Same thing with my Sunday night incident, although not as bad, but the car sick feeling hasn't really let up since then. So who knows the real reason. Maybe I should just chalk it up to m/s so I don't feel like such a baby, haha!
grapefruit / 4669 posts
@Sprite: sorry to phrase it harshly! That sounds tough to process, especially when there is another baby to be excited about. I hope everything goes smoothly for the duration of your pregnancy, and that you don't get hit with lots of nausea. But a constant feeling of nausea sounds pregnancy-related to me!
kiwi / 693 posts
@tororojo: No worries, it wasn't how you phrased it, just the phrase in general
apricot / 305 posts
@Sprite: Car sickness is EXACTLY how I'd describe my nausea, too! I'm trying to be grateful that I'm not puking (and definitely grateful that I'm pregnant), but it is getting old. Yes, the suppositories are super gross. I actually can't decide whether I'd rather give up the suppositories or the injections. It's a moot point, either way, though, since I'm stuck with both through the 1st trimester. Do you know how long you'll be on the suppositories? Are you on any other hormones like estradiol?
Has anyone else had strange cravings yet? I can't get enough or cream cheese and meatballs. But not together, haha!
kiwi / 693 posts
@thisisme: Ugh, both suppositories and injections at the same time sounds killer! I'd for sure pick suppositories, but I don't like needles and the FSH injections were really a struggle for me. Luckily I'm only on the progesterone. And from what I've gathered, it's not the worst kind of suppositories. I'm on ones that look like little wax bullets and are from a local compounding pharmacy. They cause far less gross discharge than what I've heard others like crinone cause
And I haven't had any real cravings lately, although I can't tolerate eating anything too dry, probably because I'm still constantly thirsty. But I have been extra hungry. Without fail every night after going upstairs to bed, I keep finding myself starving. And the only thing that sounds good is a go-gurt. I think I've almost convinced DH to dig out an old mini fridge for me to keep by the bed, just so he doesn't have to keep going down every night to bring me my yogurt!

@Sprite:No weird cravings for me, but lots of nausea, and I am EXHAUSTED.
@Sprite: @thisisme: omg I will be SO happy when I am off progesterone. So so so gross. We should all throw a virtual party for each other when we're off of them for good!!!

So I had my first crazy preggo moment. DH was supposed to pick up chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream on his way home from work but when he came home he said that Publix was completely out of all cookie dough so he had to get me vanilla. In my head I knew he was just teasing and that was impossible but I started to cry! He started to panic and said he was just kidding and showed me the tub but I was so embarrassed! I think it got him even more scared because I literally NEVER cry. Omg whyyyyy lol.
I'm going to share this with my October thread mamas haha.

Trying to catch up from all of the action today!! So nice to have a group of women that are all at the same place!! The one person at work who knows is so funny and keeps sending me cute emails and checking in on me, especially after yesterday's issues. She asked me today how I am keeping my secret in and not telling the world. One word: fear. I said I absolutely want to shout it from the roof tops and am so excited but then when I think what if..... It calms me down very quickly. She got it and understood. I said my goal is Easter except that my belly is growing by the day. Some is still bloat, some is not enough gym time, but some is for sure baby!!! I was 8 weeks on Friday according to ovulation. DH just looks at me and smiles and says I love you!!
It puts my mind at ease to come here and read what other women are thinking and feeling a I can talk to DH, my mom who had a kid 31 years ago and the lady at work who had one 17 years ago!!!!

@Mrs.Panda: I did too!! We found Reece pieces mini eggs at Target. They were amazing. I put them away so I wouldn't eat the whole bag and DH found them and ate the other half of the bag!! It was a 500 g bag!!! I was so mad. I would have cried but I chose to walk away instead.

Had our dating ultrasound today and saw a flickering heartbeat! EDD is still 11/7. So happy to see that little bean! I don't go back to the doc until 14 weeks, and won't have another ultrasound until 20 weeks.
