Also, for those that knew me on the IVF board...
When I got the severe case of OHSS I had gained about 6-8 lbs in a matter of a few days. The fluid went down but I hadn't really weighed myself again once I felt better. I haven't been eating much lately and what I have been eating is pretty healthy, but I figured with the addition of the "bump" that I'd probably be about the same as when I was full of fluid....surprised, and happy, to see I was down 6 lbs when I weighed myself today!

Bump. I have a bump like woah for 7 weeks haha! I'll take a pic at some point this week. If you know me, it's already sort of obvious that I'm pregnant

Ughhhhh I ate the pepperoni sandwich I was talking about on the sandwich thread and I feel awful. My stomach is just CHURNING. Make it stop.

@waiting4you: ah I see I didn't get that you alreAdy got the shot. I guess there is a new breakout right now so it can't hurt to have it. And if you decide that you want to get the baby immunity you can get next years in the fall.

Well, I can say with absolute certainty that I will not be eating a pepperoni sandwich from Penn Station ever again. Gross. I am so sorry for all of you who vomit regularly. I will take my constant nausea and embrace it.

Coming on for the first time. Was nervous that this would be gone already--we tried for almost 2 years, and it's hard to get the feeling out of your head that something is going to go wrong at this point too. But thankfully this little guy/gal seems to still be around!
Location: about to move to SF bay area, but not there yet
EDD: 10/6
How far along: I guess that's 11w1d
First child? Yes!
First doctor's visit: had US with our RE at ~6wk, then with a new OB at 8wk...going back in 2wk
Any symptoms? I guess I lucked out with nausea--have only really been nauseated on and off this past week. Intermittent cramps, bloating, exhaustion, constipation, emotion. Pretty manageable so far, though, so lucky.
Told anyone? No- ironically, we finally told our parents about the infertility journey a week or two before we conceived. Going to tell my parents this weekend (fingers crossed)!

@Hylidae: welcome!!! congratulations! You're in good IF company on this board. Good luck on the move...can only imagine how difficult that is when you're pregnant! EEk!

@waiting4you: Honestly, I never get a flu shot because I find them kind of pointless. But I did get one this year. They recommend all pregnant women get them if they will be pregnant during flu season. Just like with the elderly and people with weak immune symptoms, something as silly as the flu can be very detrimental to an unborn baby. If you get the flu and you get a fever, this can be very dangerous. So it's good you got the shot.
As for a bump, I'm definitely rocking one already. I'm not taking pictures yet though because it doesn't really look like a baby bump. I've put on A LOT of weight over the last year, so someone who doesn't know how I carry my weight would just assume I'm fat. But I know my body (I used to be even bigger than this) and my gut does not stick out like this. Hopefully soon it will look like an actual bump.
And wow, a lot happened here today! I was pretty busy, so it's hard to catch up. I'm going to try and keep better tabs tomorrow.

I am so sick! Stomach flu for sure can't stop all night I am concerned about my fluids at what point do u call?!
apricot / 276 posts
@FaithFertility: I think my doctor said if you can't keep anything down for 24 hours, you call. But if you're worried, call regardless. Better safe than sorry. Hope you feel better!

@FaithFertility: so sorry! I had it with T and My doc said while pregnant to call if you can't keep anything down for 8 hours.

@Hylidae: We just moved back east from the Bay Area. I had a great experience at the Kaiser Redwood City Hospital, and friends loved their experiences at Mills Peninsula in Milbrae. Not sure where exactly you'll be, but good stuff all around Hope the move goes well!
Hope the sick mamas get feeling better asap

Well, DH just left for the rest of the week--he's out of town for work and then a bachelor party that I really encouraged him to go on before I knew I was going to be 8 weeks pregnant when it happened.
I'm REALLY struggling with being productive at work. I'm so exhausted and icky feeling! I have a pretty fast-paced, agency-style job and I also just got a promotion...which is tough because I'm pretty sure everyone just thinks I suck at my new role! Oh well--hopefully they'll understand in about a month, right?
I'm also having pretty bad round ligament pain already. I didn't get it until way later last time, but I know it's normal to get it early for subsequent pregnancies. I get it when I sneeze, when I cough, when I move quickly...I just had it happen when I got out of a low chair at work and totally yelled OW and grabbed my uterus area. Ha. It's official: I'm sure my coworkers know that something is going on.

@mfa_lady: The round ligament pain is killer! I got sharp pains just trying to roll over last night.

@MFA_Lady: Wow, I am in the exact same situation: fast-paced agency type job and just got a big promotion. Having a really rough time getting through each day with my usual 'go get em' style. I'm sure folks are noticing and I too feel the pressure of the new role - feel like I'm dialing it in during a time when I definitely shouldn't be. My coworkers will be understanding once they know, so I can't wait for that day. Hang in there!!

@mfa_lady: awful, haven't threw up since 8 so that is good, but so weak and nauseous
I'm sorry your job is so busy right now, this 1st trip stiff is no joke

@mfa_lady: @TapDancer: gah, I'm very thankful I work from home mostly. I was at a deposition last week and nearly barfed

@winniebee: So cute!
I could take a bump picture this week (8 weeks with #3), it is starting to get really obvious! ahh.

@lilyann: this is just mid day. At night I look 20 weeks pregnant haha, but I feel like night bump doesn't count yet lol.

Pretty proud that I haven't puked yet. This morning I was sure that wasn't gonna be the case. I had to immediately take medicine and still thought I was gonna lose it while I nursed E.
Little bump and what my app says is 8 weeks

How cute are you guys?
I'm going to keep my pudge bump hidden for a few weeks yet. I took my first belly pic with Noah at 10 weeks but we lost him not long after, so it's left me feeling a bit too worried I'll jinx things.
How are you feeling? @FaithFertility:
OB appt today. I should be 9w5d. Feeling pretty anxious, as per usual. x
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@jaguar: Keep us posted! I have a lingering fear as well. All of my losses have been early....I would feel so silly to be posting bump pics and lose it. But I'm just trying to have faith and just hope that my days of loss are over.
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@winniebee: I know the whole 'jinx' thing probably sounds silly, but I really am that worried about it all happening again. My poor therapist is going to need therapy herself after helping me work through all of this. And I need to get my OB and his staff a big bunch of chocolates for putting up with me.
(Plus you guys, I guarantee you'll be sick of me by the end, should all go well!)
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@jaguar: Do you think you will get to a point of feeling more at ease with this baby? I sort of have pregnancy anxiety the whole time....5 early losses, my first I had preterm labor at 30 weeks and bed rest til 37 weeks....my second I had growth issues and was induced at 38 for IUGR....I feel like it just is never easy! I'm trying to be positive because I know that I'm just lucky to be pregnant at this point.
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@winniebee: Honestly? I'm not sure. Getting past the genetic hurdle & first trimester is the biggest one right now. Then the usual nerves until viability, but yeah.. I hope it will feel more 'normal' at some point. I was so lucky with G's pregnancy, absolutely loved the experience & had no qualms, except for being the size of a house and her surprise early birth!

@winniebee: @MrsRcCar: You guys look so cute!!
I'm not taking bump pictures yet. I put on a lot of weight before I got pregnant, so I just look fat. I mean *I* know it's baby because I always carried my weight really well. Even at 250lbs, I never had a belly. But now I do. But I think I'm the only person besides my husband who can tell. Lol

LOVE all these bump pics and look forward to the time when everyone else is comfortable enough to post theirs
@jaguar: thinking of you! Hope you and Olaf have a good appointment today!

@krzyriver: Ditto. I'm not quite ready for a bump photo. I feel slightly thicker/bloated overall and there's no noticeable bump - at least not one that can be captured in a photo well. I gained and lost weight multiple times in my efforts to control PCOS while TTC. While I'm not at my highest weight, I'm definitely not starting off this pregnancy at my happiest weight...sigh! I know it will be a while before I feel like a photo is needed LOVE seeing everyone else's though!

For fun:
Why/how did you pick your username?
I am MrsRcCar because my DH used to race RC Cars semi-professionally. He has since moved on to RC planes exclusively but this has been my handle for so long I like too much to change.
